Letter to the WIVES of PASTORS

by - 07:00:00

Dear Mama/Mummy,

I am deeply concerned about the way some pastor's wives look in the church, it would have been better if some of them especially in Nigeria are looking better than they were before  they became the Mamas
but some actually look very sick and worse. I saw a lot of the Mamas and started asking myself a question, why would a woman i know that use to be very beautiful and elegant and modest in her dressing now turn to become a charcoal all in the name of 'i should lead by example'?. I also want to ask, please someone tell me the portion of the bible that say women of God shouldn't take care of themselves?. You look at the husbands (pastors) of these women and they look very fit, handsome and younger but when you look at their wives they look like mothers of their husbands. Sometimes, i wonder if they actually look at the mirror to observe themselves, what spiritual harm would it bring to you if you clean up yourself, look more brighter and attractive? shouldn't that also be a way for your congregation to know that the Lord is good to your soul?

I know some pastors preach that beautifully adorning yourself with accessories and wearing the make up is not good especially in the local assembly, but if it isn't good why do we all have to shower with soaps, apply some things to remove acne, wear some nice cologne etc? please i am begging oooo find a way to look good, smart and modest as you serve God, i don't think that our God has anything against looking good and clean.

Joyce Meyer

Take a look at Joyce Meyer, doesn't she look good and is still serving her God? am not saying copy someone but the least you can do for yourself is to look as clean and beautiful as Joyce. please stop looking like the world has conquered you all in the name of being too religious please. I would be Glad if a whole lot of not only Pastor's wives but all religious women would consider this plea of Mine.
Thanks

  1. Your comments here have crossed my mind. I think it has to do with an accepted culture that crept into the church. Traditions seem to be taking centre stage. First the flying saucer hats, dressing like old women when you still in you 40's or 50's so that women conform to what society deems fit. Or maybe the husband pastor’s as afraid of other men in church winking at their wives. I can't understand how a vibrant female graduate is reduced to such mediocrity. Just speaking my mind.
